Diving & Snorkeling

The ocean, as clean and clear as when God first made it, is filled with an awesome array of tropical splendor including tropical fish, coral, dolphins, rays, whale sharks, real sharks and ancient sea turtles. Scuba Diving can be arranged on request.

Fishing

The deep sea fishing potential of the island rock area is huge.
Boats and Jet skis are welcome and the reef system enables safe launching. A launching license is required and can be obtained at the Resort. Should you not have your own boat deep sea fishing can be arranged on request.

The license is valid for one month. (Prices subject to change)

Quad biking

Driving of quad bikes at the resort is allowed, but with consideration to others. Island Rock Resort has a 6km track at the back of the resort in the dunes available for enthusiasts. Take your picnic basket with and stop to look at the breathtaking sunset. A fee of R150 per quad is charged for the duration of your booking.   This fee is payable on arrival at the Resort.

6 Day Inland 4x4 Route

A 6 day inland 4x4 trip can be arranged.  Use your own 4x4 vehicle and tents.  Camping fees and 3 meals included. These trips are only done out of season.  Price on request.

Nature

Island Rock Resort is located in a pristine natural area offering bird-watchers, naturalists, hikers and all those who appreciate nature the ideal opportunity to get out of the city routine and enjoy the beauty of the area.

Relax

The beach, the hot tropical sun, good local beer and peri-peri prawns. Spend your days on the beach or whole afternoons swimming, exploring the underwater topography. Lie on your back at night looking at shooting stars and sleep late if you feel like it!
